Working behind the scenes at Glasto

We caught up with Alysia following her time at Glastonbury 2025 to hear about her experience working in crew and artist accreditation for The Park Stage.

What  was your role at Glastonbury this year and can you explain some of the types of tasks you had to do within this job?
This year at Glastonbury, I was Park Passes Assistant. This meant that I was sorting all accreditation for the crew and artists working/ performing on The Park stage and in The Park area. I also looked after accreditation for stage and backstage access for artist, guests and crew.

What was a typical day like for you at Glastonbury?
I would wake up and head to crew catering for breakfast, ready to start work at 9am. From 9-7pm I would be constantly on my feet wrist banding, checking tickets, updating the internal tracking system, and making on stage laminates.

From 7pm, I would get chance to explore the festival site, which I really try to take advantage of Monday/ Tuesday when the site isn't open to the public yet.

Through the rest of the week, I would typically catch a few headliners performances and enjoy the festival in my free time in the evenings.

Best experience for you whilst working there?
The best part of this job is working with such an incredible team of women.

Any lessons you've learnt or tips you took away with you from your time working at Glastonbury?
Always be a friendly face.  Your interaction with someone can have a massive impact on their day/ experience at the festival, so I would always be a welcoming presence.

What would your top tips be for anyone who wants to do a similar role at festivals?
Be adaptable... things always change in events.

And I would reiterate my previous answer. You never know what kind of experience someone has had getting to site (they could have had the worst drive imaginable, had a rude encounter at the gate etc) so it really does make a massive difference when they get to the passes office and are welcomed with a friendly atmosphere. It can have a massive impact on their overall experience and it's something I consider on any job.
